Already employing over 500 professionals in the US, Europe and APAC, the company traditionally was focusing on building in-house IT delivery capacity.
With a need to scale-up its delivery capability and expand technical expertise to implement the next generation of the platform, the company decided to consider opening an offshore location in Eastern Europe.
Radenia started with advising of the most relevant model and educating key stakeholders from delivery, product management and up to C-level in practical aspects of establishing and running an offshore delivery (as the company had little to no experience in this area).
During the iterative process orchestrated by us, we’ve identified the target engagement model and guided our client through the vendor selection process. We organized and supported onsite interviews with candidate companies, provided our opinion on the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor and advised our client in negotiations and contractual matters.
The delivery center was established within a month after concluding a deal. Despite the original plan to start with only one Scrum team, the quality, performance and attitude of the new hires, as well as strength of recruitment pipeline, allowed the client to scale its team to 60+ people within 9 months in two growth-stabilization cycles.
The offshore team continue growing and delivering quality results, being an important internal partner for the global technology team.
