A mature organization with a strong presence in a niche market faced a natural limitation: the addressable market is not growing, a new disruptive providers might challenge the company’s ability to retain revenues in traditional markets, and their technology product that was revolutionary 10-15 years ago is not considered a future-ready foundation for new solutions.
The company’s owner approached Radenia to help navigate business and technology challenges and to build a roadmap to sustain and grow the business.
We created a small but senior team of telco, technology, and business experts and started with market research. In parallel, we did a comprehensive deep dive into the company’s product. These activities allowed us to identify key limitations of the product (such as an extremely high need for customization for each deployment and a CAPEX-heavy implementation profile driven by the product architecture) and its competitiveness. A field research that included visiting niche trade shows and interviewing market experts allowed us to create a vision for a future state of the market.
As a result, we proposed a new product vision, starting from a cloud-first deployment and moving to a new approach to the convergence of media and communication channels to use a full potential of existing modules.
This allowed mapping of a current and future needs of the wider market and unlocked several new applications of the platform beyond traditional sectors, while maintaining the highest military-grade security and performance standards, previously unattainable for smaller companies. The combination of business and technology advisory services created a new strategic opportunities for the company.
